THEMISTOKLIS  HIGH SCHOOL at the EPAS Awards Ceremony: Second Year as an EPAS School (EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AMBASSADOR SCHOOL)

Our High school proudly participated for the second consecutive year in the EPAS Awards ceremony, reaffirming its role as an EPAS School Ambassador of the European Parliament.

This distinction highlights our ongoing commitment to promoting European values, democratic participation, and active citizenship among students.

The ceremony was held at the European Parliament officesin Athenson January 23, 20026 and honored teachers and students for their initiatives and active participation in the EPAS programwas attended by Greek Members of the European Parliament, as well as representatives of European institutions, whose presence gave special significance to the occasion. Through their speeches and discussions, they emphasized the importance of youth engagement in European affairs and encouraged students to take an active role in shaping the future of Europe.

As part of the EPAS programme, our students and teachers have worked throughout the year to deepen their understanding of the European Union, its institutions, and its impact on everyday life. Participating in the awards event was a valuable opportunity to present our efforts, exchange ideas with other EPAS schools, and feel part of a wider European educational community.

The experience was both inspiring and motivating, strengthening our determination to continue promoting dialogue, cooperation, and democratic values. Our participation for a second year as an EPAS School Ambassador reflects our school’s dedication to European education and our belief in the power of informed, active young citizens.
